Re: 500& 1000 rupee-sedlar ogiltiga imorron

En del strul här och var fortfarande efter 50 dagar. Efter 30 December blir allt som vanligt? Alla ATM restriktioner hävs eller redan hävda?

MUMBAI: Fifty days after demonetisation, queues at ATMs across the city are considerably shorter but Rs 100 notes continue to be in short supply. Since most ATMs often give out just Rs 2,000 notes, Mumbaikars have been using cards and digital payment options as far as possible.

Around 4pm on Wednesday, of the three ATMs at Axis Bank's Marine Lines branch, one was not operational and the other two were dispensing Rs 2,000 notes. There was just one person at the ATM kiosk. A staffer said there is no fixed time in the day when Rs 100 notes are loaded into the machines.

Likewise, most South Mumbai ATMs were seen dispensing Rs 2,000 notes on Wednesday, though one ATM each of HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank opposite Sterling Cinema gave out Rs 100 notes. ATMs of HDFC Bank's Fort branch and Citibank's on P D'Mello Road, on the other hand, had no cash. Cardholders were seen queuing up at all ATMs—IndusInd, Canara and State Bank of India—inside the CST station premises for Rs 2,000 notes.

Elsewhere in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, too, the situation was little different. In Kalyan and Ulhasnagar, for instance, most ATMs had only Rs 2,000 notes. In Navi Mumbai, ATMs continued to fall short of cash and citizens were compelled to make repeated visits to withdraw cash. Nerul's Johnson Thomas said, "Most ATMs run dry hours after they are refilled. If we need money, we have to visit banks."

To avoid visits to ATMs, several people are using digital ways to transact. "Looking at the lines at the ATMs, I haven't actually gone to an ATM since November 8. I went to the bank and withdrew cash for basic expenses but I am trying to use the e-wallet at most places," said M Sailee, a resident of Thane.

The queues are therefore shorter. "Queues increase only when money is loaded into ATMs, but even then there are only seven to eight people, not as it was earlier," said Chinmany Ambardekar, a resident of Thane. "I am glad the queues are not long. But the banks don't give change of Rs 2,000 notes when money is withdrawn. It becomes difficult to get it from vendors," said Ashish Deshmukh.

December 21
What is current ATM withdrawal limit in India today. This is now most asked question by all after demonetisation on 8th November 2016. Now after lot of struggles standing in queue for hours and getting little cash withdrawal per day everyone is felling tired. So a good news is coming up soon as a new decision was announced by Indian Minister of State for Finance Santosh Gangwar on 21st December 2016. As per new decision by Indian Government it was decided to remove all withdrawal limits from ATM’s after 30 December 2016. Narendra Modi led BJP Government”s decision to withdraw higher value notes of Rs.1000, Rs.500 was criticized by media due to problems to common man.

So what is ATM withdrawal limit till Friday, 30th December 2016. It will eb limited to just Rs.2500 per day. A New year comes we can expect that all ATM withdrawal limit problems will be removed from Monday 2nd January 2017. As 31st is a bank holiday and 1st December is Sunday there will be limited cash availability and staff to deposit cash in ATM machines. Even if withdrawal limit is removed problems regarding cash availability will end only after year end holidays. That’s why we can expect that cash availability in ATM and withdrawal limits issues will be solved from 2-1-2017.

So now after a long gap from 8th November 2016 to 30 December 2016, India is expected to come back to normal living. Let us hope that Rs.100, Rs.500 notes are available in ATM machines. Till now most ATM’s have only Rs.2000 note in it. For those people who need lesser denominations in cash are not able to withdraw because less availability of these denominations. And for people who have lee balance than Rs.2000 cannot withdraw. So from 2017 if low denomination notes are available in huge quantity most problems in ATM will be solved. After 30th December 2016 there will be No per day or per week ATM withdrawal limits.

After news about changes in withdrawal limits in ATM’s came out every one was asking whether bank withdrawal limit will also be removed. If ATM withdrawal limit for cash is removed there will be definitely changes to amount of cash that can be withdrawn through bank branches.

More details regarding such changes will be announced by Indian Finance Ministry, Reserve Bank of India based on prevailing situations.

After 30 December 2016 there will be No cash withdrawal limit from ATM’s. It does not mean that unlimited cash can be withdrawn. Withdrawal limit for ATM cards will be like that in past before demonetization rule.
